i am a creative web designer and passionate to for logo design. logo are the key of impact of websites, logo must be clear and simple and must have an attractive and eye catching nature. the quality of colour must be high and aligned with your website layout and color scheme. a web designer while designing a web page must think for many hours on the logo aspect. here are a few examples where a web designer can get inspiration of creating a logo.

Before designing a logo, you should be clear about its theme because if you dont know what's the theme behind that logo, you wont be able to design a good logo in terms of attractiveness and relativity.

Thanks for providing the links. I don't have a creative bone in my body and really struggle when it come to designing aesthetically pleasing work. Tell me to make something work and I am happy to do so, tell me to make something 'pretty' and I need to look up pretty in the dictionary...

to have a effective logo for your business or website you need to study the nature of the business and the target market ( young, teenager or adult, boys or girl)

Hi,
I would never suggest to go into designing because if you dont have a creative mind then it is useless and you will hardly enjoy work, you cannot do impressive work even if you have a handsome knowledge. But you may have creative skills in other type of work, it only depends on what you really want to do as a professional.

I think it depends on what product or concept of your logo is, also try to search logos that is related to that product and you can combine some of the designs. You can also have some ideas on making some logos. You can also research the world wide web about logo designing.

I've had clients come to me with one logo on their website made by the web designer, a different logo on their business card made by their printer, and still a different logo on their brochure made by their designer. While a web designer is often capable of creating a nice logo, logo design should not be part of the web design contract - ideally. Companies need to have consistent branding across all media (web, print, signage, tv, etc.). A logo creation service agreement should stand alone. The product handed to the client should contain a vector file, source files, a one color black and white version, and office use versions for the client such as a jpg and png. The final product should also contain a spec sheet that states the colors and fonts used.

While designing logo you must be aware of following specification and requirement
1)Business Profile
2)Organization vision and mission
3) Goal of organization
4) Quality of product
5)Branding and packaging.

May be above parameter sounds bit weird but above parameter plays essential role while designing any logo. For example if you look current logo for branded product it conveys and pass some message.
