Looking for a fierce fish logo.

I'm interested in having a logo designed for a fishing charter service owned by my brother-in-law called "Badfish Charters". Thinking of doing a contest for it but not sure if that's the best way to go. The idea is to have a rather fierce looking fish with a menacing, confident, toothy grin. My wife quickly sketched this to give you an idea. Color scheme will be primarily blue/turquoise, with touches of lime green, yellow and burnt orange, however artistic license is welcome. This logo will appear on the header of a website, business cards, etc. and on the side of a 31' offshore fishing vessel.

What do you think, is a contest a good idea, or better to just post the request in Services (willing to pay something of course)?

I'd skip the contest if you have an idea of what you want. Just grab someone and chat about it *cough cough*
