Reducing image file size...
Hi everyone..

I was wandering if you could help me..

I have the header - http://www.gopedsonline.co.uk/images/headerjpg.jpg

Unfortunately the header is currently over 30Kb, this obviously slows the site down for 56kers..

I have tried many different file types etc.. and i have not managed to keep goodish quality with a lower file size..

I was wandering whether or not anyone could perhaps try and reduce the file size of the header, but whilst keeping the basic quality?

I've just reduced the JPG quality. 18.3k and 20.6k.

much smaller file size... but unfortunately the text gopeds-online.co.uk has dropped lots in quality..

I can decide on whats most important.. speed or looks?

Its just that the total index page size is about 230kb which is fairly large.. lol... but i think ill go with quality rather than speed..

most peeps are on bb now anyway..

I vote looks more important in this case. I wouldn't go less than 30k on this.

This is a nice piece of work. Looks like the one Fusion created completely from scratch.
