Use of photos: where do you get them?
hi,

sometimes you see headers with photos merged into them, well it happens a lot. You see people smiling and all that pathetic stuff

but where do you get that pics?

I often search stock photography sites like corbis or sxc.hu but I would like to know if there are better solutions available

You can try www.istockphoto.com You have to pay for the pictures. but you are only paying about .25 or less.... They have good images. I use them all the time.

Istockphoto rocks! It is all I use.

All pictures are .50 to $1.50

You can always go to a photography forum and make some friends, then ask a photography to go take a picture for you.

Morguefile is great. Most times the photographers merely want to know that you've used their picture. Maybe a credit somewhere. And there are some great photos there.

i frequent...

photocase.de as well as the others that have been mentioned... istock is probably the best when it comes to value/quality/price and also the feeling of knowing that ALL images have been released by the photographer (no nasty lawsuits down the road).
