WOW I dont know which I like better maybe the blue one. I will try and see if I can do this myself b/c I desperatly need to learn all this asap.

Atom I really do understand where you are coming from. The best of luck in securing something. I also want to say I really appreciate the the step by step details that you give me. It helps more than you know and is greatly appreciated. I hope you feel like you can still do this much even if not doing the other b/c I do need to learn this.

I'll help you all I can but please don't ask me to do projects for free or for links or w/e, that's all I ask.
Atom, I know where you are coming from. I've been there and it's hard. And it makes it even harder when you do something to help someone out and they end up selling it to a client or they make the $$$ and you don't see a cent. It's frustrating bcuz you have the talent and someone who doesn't gets the reward. Don't get discouraged. Get out there and network. It's the most powerful tool you have. Come off as confident but not a know it all and don't ever put yourself down by telling clients (not that you are) that you are struggling. They don't care to hear about that. To be honest you are most likely to loose business by you sharing too much personal information. Most people want to hire someone for their service and not have to worry about your situation.

You really have to love what you do that it doesn't feel like work. If it does then you are in the wrong business. Hope things get better and I agree. I get too many do this for a link as well or build my whole site for free advertising. If I want to adversite I'll pay the fees. If I need a link I'll buy the link or request a trade. Personally links are not important to me. $$$ is not that important either. Building great relationships is what works best and word of mouth works even better. Good Luck!

Doc, instead of posting 1,000 messages on the forum in 3(?) months maybe you should read the adobe help file? LOL. Just play with all the settings until you like what you see. Before you know it, it'll come natural to you. If it was quick and easy everyone would do it.

TBH, I'm not in this to make money, I just do graphics for fun. But I am penny less so I really hate to "have to" do something for someone because they got a commitment out of me, and for no money. That's being taken advantage of and it doesn't feel good. At least if I got a few bucks for my efforts I wouldn't feel so bad about spending my time in ways other than the ways I choose. If a person gets a commitment out of me to do something for them, it's not something that I would ordinarily be doing so it's not what I actually "want" to do. A few bucks could actually make me not mind doing it so much, and maybe even cause me to actually "want" to do it. LOL

And I don't worry about broadcasting my personal info or troubles for that matter, total truth and honesty are much more important to me than any "image" I could project. But I understand where you're coming from on that issue, and I wouldn't suggest that WM's be as open as I am, that's for sure.... that's just bad biz.

Did I ever tell you guys about the time I got drunker than hell and broke into an art gallery and took a sh!t right in the middle of the floor?

Well, anyway... I didn't destroy anything except the air for a while... I wasn't really a destructive kid really.

LOL!

Merry Christmas all!

In some galleries this could actually add to the value of their expositions.
