Opinions on Logo for Domain Registrar
Hello, I am designing a logo for a new domain registrar site, the name of the site is JustPickIt, the idea is that the logo should communicate a fast and easy way to choose (pick) a domain name.
Here some initial sketches:

What do you think?
Regards!

Number 1 looks the best to me. It's the most logo-ish IMO.

I'm leaning toward #2.
#1 is pretty good too.

Number 2 would be my second choice.

#1.
I know cursors are used a lot in logo's, but I think you should do something with a mouse cursor since the sites name is 'Just Click It'

I've changed my mind, I think that #1 is the best for a website logo. It may be best to have a space between just and pick, not sure. Either that or have all the words connected. Actually, I was thinking that having only "pick it" connected would be the most effective.

Hi, I just uploaded a revision of the logos:
http://www.justpickit.com/test/logos-2.gif
There is a new idea, logo #8, at the bottom of the page.
What do you think?
Regards!

I like 1c and 1f. Hard decision.
Maybe use the thickness of the letters in 1c and the "it" from 1c, but keep it all at a straight line like 1f. Does that make sense?

I don't think any of them convey choosing a domain name at all. What is the shape that is on some of them with the notch cut out? Is that a rising sun inside of it sometimes?
what about something like 6b with a hand picking the dot in the lowercase i. Then it would relate to the name a little more. And (i'm just writing) you could fan out, screened com, net and org from the dot... so you're 'picking' out your 'dot' name.

Thank you downtroden, I agree, no logo is expressing the idea.
I didn't want to use the hand or cursor idea because I thought they are a little over used, but maybe this is one of those situations when it would be useful, I'll pay a little more with Illustrator.
Anyone else wants to comment about this?
Regards!

I'm just throwing out ideas but maybe something with a basket or something like someone has picked something out?

my 1 minute idea...
it's true the arrow has been overused... but you shouldn't use a square for tires, just because there are tons of cars with round wheels.

Hi, thanks, nice idea, I would prefer that fingers touching, or almost touching, the dot, I will try to play with other styles of hands too.
About the basket idea, I don't know, because of the recycle bin in Windows you could relate a basket with discarding instead of choosing, don't you think?
What other symbol, apart from a cursor or a hand, could express "picking", "choosing", "selecting"? uhmm, sometimes when I get stuck, I really get stuck

Hi docquesting, thank you for your comments, I'm just playing with form at this stage and will choose colors later, but I still will be playing with a vital palette (oranges and blues).
Regards.

Maybe a shopping cart then? Since they're going to buy it?
