I prefer Photoshop, because it is the one I have learnt most things in, and feel most comfortable with. I have the latest Paintshop Pro, and Photoshop 7, Photoshop is the that's always used!

I prefer P/S. Its around $800 US I think. You can do quite a bit of the same thing with P/S/P but its just not the same. I picked up my cd of this on ebay for around $20/30.
If you dont mind doing so you can always download what they call illegal copies for free of Adobe P/S. I would start with 7.0 if your going to go this route. Otherwise if buying you might as well get the latest. Hope this helps some.

paintshop pro is and always will be simply a low cost alternative to PS. It is alright, and is fine if you do not have the money to afford PS, it is considerably cheaper, but it does not have the features and overall function of PS.
Actually I prefer Gimp( www.gimp.org) over paintshop pro.

To me, that's total opposite. Wouldn't you buy an older version of PS to save some money and just buy upgrades later? And if you were downloading why would it matter what version you got, they're all free...
