ok get an image high res is best make a duplicate of the layer on this layer use magic eraser tool to get rid of the bg so you only have a dude in the pic! .. in the above layer

next ctrl click the image in the bgduplicate layer to highlight the subject make a new layer make sure its selected choose gradient tool and fill black to transparent from toe to head

use distort tool make it longer if you want the guy to appear taller

now select the marque tool to blur stronger the further away the shadow less near the subject

finished image play around till you get something u like ps opacity reduced to around 40% u can add filter>stylise>diffuse if u like to make the edges ruffer
