1. right click on the layer with the image
2. select "Blending options"
3. check "Drop shadow"

if you want more control, click the line with "Drop shadow" and play around with the controls

4. press "OK"

1. select layer
2. Layer > Layer style
3. select Drop Shadow

change options

Thanks guys! Unfortunately, nothing happen. the picture is still the same. Is there something I should know before I do your procedures? I'm confused.

try this:
1) copy the layer u want 'shadowed'
2) make the copied layer smaller (eg. half size) of the original
then:
Quote:
1. right click on the layer with the image 2. select "Blending options" 3. check "Drop shadow"
this should help u understand a bit more, hope this clears things up for u........

yes the point here is, you set a blend effect to an image and it was clipped beyond the canvas view so of course, you couldnt see it.

just to clarify.
