Paste as new Image in Photoshop

Anyone knows how to paste a selected image to paste as new image in Photoshop. I tried it in Paint shop Pro but i seem to find no luck in Photoshop.

Yes, I've noticed a cool feature in that when you copy an image, you can go to "New" and the image size will be that of your image. This is really cool as you don't need to worry about getting the correct size.

Just dragging the image into PS seems to work too.

Yeah, I really like that feature too. Cropping also gives you instant new dimensions as well, whereas selecting and deleting inverse does not. I use cropping a lot to make two pics the same size without altering their resolutions, you have to uncheck snap if it's checked (view/snap), to crop just a few pixels from the edge ,though, otherwise it will snap to the edge and not shave the pic, or it will shave too much if it does not snap to the edge, but unchecking snap is no biggie, some people actually leave it unchecked most of the time.

There is no built-in "Paste as New Image" feature, but take advantage of action scripts. I have one that copy, creates a new doc, and pastes the image all with one keystroke.

actions rock... I used to have ones that would complete full tutorials.

(to self: I wonder what happened to those)
