Fireworks or Photoshop?

I have to put one more vote in for learning Photoshop. Over the years it has always been my go-to program. However when I'm off my main machine or suggesting something to a friend GIMP is a good alternative that does things quite well.

Overall, image programs like this require time, effort and it is a skill you build up. But once you do that it will be a valuable asset that you'll very often.

I never hear anyone talk about fireworks anymore. Photoshop is what everyone talks about.
