Need a graphic made transparent
Im all thumbs when it comes to graphic programs. I hate it. Just makes me want to toss the @)!*$%^ing computer out the window when I cant even figure out where to even start to figure out how to do something.
Anyway if someone could make the following graphic transparent so the white does not show it would be super.

I would do it if they didn't give us that much homework... If no one does it I might be able to give it a go later

That would still be difficult without having its source file
I will just remove the bg in a while

Well if i had the talent to make that in the first place I would have made it transparent. Thus I have no access to the source file. One attempt at making it transparent left a bunch of white pixles around the edge that looks like crap on a dark colored background.

I've tried and am having a hard time getting a clean edge on it. Why not just change the background color of the image to match the background it'll be on. If you can't just post the hex for the color and I'll do it.

Because its going to be used on any number of possible backgrounds. This is going to become the new logo for a forum that I am a contract webmaster for. I belive the owner of the site made the graphic himself but has not been able to get a clean transparency so I figured I would post over here and let the graphic artists have a stab.
Since he has 3 different styles installed now on his site and with more to come later it makes more sense to have 1 image that is transparent vs have X different versions all with different backgrounds.

You have to upload it to your own server and link to it here.

You will never get the edge perfect if it has to match diff. backgound colors or images, if it has to have smooth curve you need to antialise it to a specific color, if you antialise it to nothing it will look jagget
take a look ---> http://www.cybernation.dk/fun/jab.htm
