In reference to
http://www.webwhirlers.com/colors/co...s.asp#platinum ,
I see that some people have added some rather strange definitions to a given color name (it is a dynamic database). It seems that there are no rules for adding a definition to the database, very strange .. but I think that there are some good definitions there (ones that make sense to
me, anyway), it's too bad there are so many different interpretations for certain color names though, seems rather unruly, like .. they show 000000 for a color name that is not black, it appears, and also a color under a name that it obviously does not belong under. I don't understand that at all unless maybe it is just a case of, as I said, no rules for definitions (other than duplicate entries, I imagine). I don't know, maybe I just don't understand the damned thing!. Oh well ..
That roulette wheel (spin the colour wheel) is kind of fun. The "add definition" is kind of neet, too.
edit: now that I think about it, I suppose it is actually better to have no rules at all than even one (aside from the obvious duplicate entry), to form an unbiased database.
