Round slices ....
... maybe I am losing my mind, which isn't to hard to believe, but I seem to remember once running across a tutorial on creating round slices.
A) Have I , in fact, lost my mind and this is not possible?
B) If I still have a few of my faculties left, does anyone know where I can find that tutorial as I have not had any luck on google of in the forums.

what are round slices?
what are slices?
do you mean like cross-sections? (like cutting a tree down to count the rings)?

Slices are used in PhotoShop and ImageReady to cut up images. Not sure if they're called the same in other image programs. It's been a while since I touched PaintShop.

You can't do it since images can only be square or rectangular.
If you could make different shape images things would get confusing when using them on the internet since you would have to find the radius of a circle, and the width of every side of anything that isn't a sqaure or rectangle, when finding their sizes.

what program do you have that saves a round file?
even if they are transparent gifs, they are still square in nature.

yeah, but if you make them overlayed over another picture you can get it to line up right

stealth i dont think so man...you can use image maps though if you want a circular area linked to something, im assuming thats why you wanted a round splice?

you can get them to line up right, but they are still not "round slices" they are square slices with transparent areas...
for example highlight your avatar... it's round... it looks round, but highlight it and it's a square... so it's really it is a square image.
