select "custom shape tool", that's where I got the shape ...
then click the "style" dropdown in the top row of tools, and select "textures" .... that's where the brick wall is ...

Thanks Pimp ... I didn't have to use 60+ layers on the brick star (button3.jpg), but I wanted the center to protrude as much as possible ... I actually could have stopped at around 50, and it would have looked about the same because the last 10 or so layers are so tiny that you can hardly see them. That last one (layers.jpg) I made using the custom shape tool lightning, and just added some fire from eyecandy to it then did the layer/duplicate layer etc... thing ...
