I only say it from experence with him... I have helped him work on images in the past and I had to do simple things like edit out stuff from images he said he made... he and I have had this discussion before... and everytime I ask for psds or what program he uses he says he can't share the psd or he will get sued, and he never responded about the program...
I think the work is great. but what I don't understand is like in the case contest... where you used one of the images he said he made as an example of what you were looking for, and what he came back with was nowhere close to the quality of what he had supposed to have made before.
he wanted me to go into business with him at one time and I could never get him to verfiy his work to me (for me to feel comfortable enough to work with him that closely)... so I never did...
he knows my doubts, all I ever asked was for proof once or a nice tutorial to show how he does it, so I could learn to be as good at 3D...
one of the things that always threw me off was how detailed the image was... fine layout of text through out, but the main text that the images were for was just pasted in flat on top. and the fact that any non-3D stuff didn't have the same feel of quality layout presence.
I said twice that it was just my opinion... my 2 cents.
and I'll say it again. that work is great!!!! 100% awesome, but I don't think from my personal experance with working with him that it is 100% his.
