Header Graphic Ideas
The admins on another forum we own, www.suzuki-bikes.com/forum/ , want a new header graphic.

I'd like to see something with the initials S and B of course and maybe, just maybe integrated the .com into it.
|
If anybody wants to take a whack at it, go for it.
Many thanks in advance.

You still use phpBB over there?
Anyway, I think it could use a whole new layout, kinda plain.. but that's just me.
No header from me, just a practically worthless post.

What I'm looking for right now is more of a logo with the site's initial. A head banner for the site would come after. I tried myself at creating a few things but they all sucked miserably. :-)

I'll give it a go, but more specifics towards the design would be appreciated.

That's pretty good Ricool. What I'm looking for is something with the initials S and B (for Suzuki-Bikes) and as I said possibly the .com since we are a web site.
At one point we thought we could have something with the S could look like a rider and the B as the wheels. Colors? Nothing too fancy, possiby in the red (since Suzuki's official logo is red) and /or blue. Something that we might even put on some merchandise for our members (just a thought here).
Does this help?

I would need to be approached privately to even consider it, and I know it's strange, but, I don't advertise this (actually, this is the first time), or even that I would do graphics for others, publicly or privately. So, basically, I'm a weirdo and I doubt you'd want a nut like me doing it for you. lol. Sorry.

Well, I'm not too clear on my reluctance myself. lol
I've done a few things for people here, but, they approached me privately right out of the blue ... not having seen any advertisement for services. I'm not sure why but that's how I like it to be. Now if I did it for a living, well, I'd have to advertise of course, but I don't want to do it as a business.
Besides, most stuff people want done is kind of ho-hum stuff to me, not what I really enjoy. I would enjoy creating a really kool CD cover or the like, stuff like that maybe, but only occasionally and wouldn't want to start a biz, even sticking to strictly stuff I enjoy. And there are plenty of talented artists and designers around, like yourself for example, that need to do this stuff to make a living. I don't need or want to do it for a living. I guess probably that's why.

Oh, and don't worry, the few things that I did do for people were not free.
I may do some minor little thing for a member once in a while free but, that's about it.
