photoshop tutorial: glowing neon

i saw that some tutorials are needed... i am not the biggest expert, but playing a lot with PS recently, so here is something from my box...

make a new layer with black background, and choose any of the bold fonts, preferably as bold as you can...
open "Layer" >> "Layer style" and apply the following settings:

it doesn't have to be text.. could be a box or a glass ball...any object:

oh and...who knows, maybe my reputation will improve after this tutorial...

That color seems to work well for that effect.

I went to your site and saw what you meant yesterday. I responded in the "New Moderator - Atom" thread in the lobby, don't know if you noticed or not.

Yeah we definitely could use some tutorials. The few that I post, nobody can understand ... including myself!

have not been around for so long, so good to be back

as for the colours, maybe they are a bit clatching though... if u look at this picture for about a minutes it hurts the eyes...lol but i was making a template for some night club and it fitted nicly there.

hehe... and like i have predicted, my reputation improved.. yeah, not that I was fishing for it, but thanks ricoool
