put a lense flare in the upper right side somewhere and add some planets in the background, kind of make it look like they're going around the sun.

nice..yall could do with some planets, i like the beam and gasses that are being emitted altho, i dont know where or what the beam is, or where its coming from... I dont like the blue and red dots randomly placed around you dont really get these in space pics or celestial art, and it gives no feeling of either depth or distance imo....The image as a whole is great altho confusing, but maybe it was intentional..
You see the beams conform to a central point, the viewer wants to know why, the artist should explain? is it blowing up a ship etc? great work non-the-less

make the bright thing in the middle bigger, then have the beams and lightning coming out of it, then it would look like something exploding.

here's an update, i blured the "beams" to make them not so much look like blue poles and i added a sun and a planet
and to acronym, ya i was trying to leave that up to the viewer what was exploding, could be a star, or i was thinking something supernatural happining

Good work,
I like the blue lightning type of effect - what software did you use cos it cant be all Photoshop - could it?
- maybe add hints off a green layer with photoshop?
- maybe add another layer of red transparent or red filter over the planet?
