Google "free brushes" and the like, "photoshop brushes" etc, and look through some of those sites. I've seen brushes quite similar to what you're looking for.

If you want original brushes, it is simple, you can create them yourself in Illustrator and even save as a brush



What I've created here is by simply playing witht the Twirl Tool, as shown in this image. What you must know though, is that the Twirl Tool in Adobe is very "naughty" so it is most likely that you will never be able to have full control over it. But the good part is that by experimenting a little, you will have lots of fun and you will create your own original stuff
