Looking for a 3D artist.

Title's quite self explanatory, we're making a game in the edge and likeness of Castlevania (Adventure/horror) and we need a 3D artist (freelancer) to help us with the characters and backgrounds.

We cant pay (lame, i know, but we dont have a budget) but there will be 70% creative freedom (very few things are determined, most of the characters and backgrounds i can accept to give our artist the creative freedom they may need on their designs) and this will help make your portfolio look better.

One of my collegues does 3d design but I am not sure about the not paying part.

Telling a 3d artist that he is not going to be paid for his long hours spent prepairing your design for you and that he will have 70% freedom and it will bolster his portfolio is going to draw out a lot of timewasters and leave the good ones not interested.

Suppose it depends on how much your team are depending on this.

I am sure he will do it a bit cheaper and you could always email him and ask.

It is nescesary to have a 3D artist to help us, as we dont have any.

So far i have a programmer, musical editor, engine developer, sketch character/background designer, and project manager.

I know its like a kick in the ass to be told to work for free, but how often do you have the chance to be creative in the creation of something, unless you can do every step of it by yourself? and the most i can pay is $5.00 american a week, and im not even sure about that as i'd have to find the way to send the money all the way from Mexico.
Im not a busineswoman, im not rich, im just a student with a dream that is close to fulfill thanks to several years of development of an idea.
