New Photoshop contest
I was thinking the next contest could be for, um, photoshopping a picture. Sound good? Or any other ideas?

I like it.
We could even narrow it down a bit farther. Make the picture look like it came from the 1930's. Or even, make the picture look like it's from 2090

I think that would be unfair as some people have more experience with that than others.
The other idea would be a contest for the most creative logo for, say, an imaginary company that sells an imaginary product.

I really do like Brian's idea but agree it may be tough for some, but it could bring forth some very nice work.
The imaginary idea sounds good to start, the contests can get harder as we go.

http://www.v7n.com/contest/ <- That contest was fun, but I think submissions were limited by the rules, colors, etc.

I don't think it limits it at all, it helps define it. It's nice to have some restrictions I find or else you start thinking of a million different ideas, which to me is overwhelming and then I lose interest.
That contest had some pretty nice entries.

John, it's fair to say, you love all your contests.
Some really good entries in that one as well.

I am with Colleen on this one you will get a more focused result if the framework is in place, if you go with the logo idea have it like it was a "real bussines" where they put down the framework.

Cyborg
feminise
masculinise
body art
half human half animal?
You could choose one!

That was a nice contest.
How about some ideas taken from Worth 1000... like colorize a black and white photo, you provide the original pic and some links to tutorials to help people that have no idea where to start. (I know at least one good one)
I entered one of those in the past, wasn't very good at it but I learned alot by entering the contest.
Of course we could just do a basic "photoshop this" style, where everyone starts with the same pic and you see what great things can come from it, works on creative thinking and trying to accomplish those goals. (Still another type of learning/practice with PS)
Overall I'm up for anything that opens people up to learning new things in the process.

Body art is always fun.
Remember this girl John?
(nipples where removed a long time ago to keep things work safe)

Aoi Minori. She rocks. But removed her, um, you know, nipples.
