The most important thing that you have to careful about hen you thinking to doing the digital design on your monitor then the color calibration will be the necessary to know. If you want to glossy then its all depends upon to set the window. I am newbie for technical environment but, I go for LG Lcd monitor.

I recently got the Macbook Pro with Retina Display and it is going to replace my old Macbook Air for graphics design now. The retina display is breath taking if you ask me. I don't know how else to explain it. The image quality is so FINE.

I bought Dell U2711 2 months ago with IPS panel and is quite good after calibration. The reason? Because it has really big working space and the price is reasonable especially comparing to Apple Cinema Display or NEC P271W.

As a second screen I use Macbook Pro 13"
