Create a banner for a humane organization web site.
The site:
http://www.therapuppy.com
Thera-puppy's mission:
Providing education and information and sharing the joy of animal companionship through programs, classes and visitations.
What does that mean?
The Humane Society (
http://hsus.org) certified Katherine to bring animals to the sick and to teach kids about being humane to animals.
My volunteer mission:
The site has no exposure. Fix that.
The site is hard for a non-techie to update. Fix that.
The site needs a new design: Fix that.
Tools
Write the site using ASP.Net community start kit "club web site," as seen here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/ex...arterkit/#club
An image of which is here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/im...nouncement.gif
Even if you don't know anything about .net, download the kit, look at the default.aspx, clubsite.css files and poster.jpg to get everything you need. If you want to see it run without .net, open default.aspx, rename it to default.htm and rip out the stuff that looks like code.
My problem:
I don't know anything about art. My brain is like a Volvo (Boxy, but Good). I need a banner for this site.
poster.jpg is the yellow background, the grass and the soccer ball. I need to turn it into something appropriate for the thera-puppy.com web site.
Thera-puppy already has a logo (
http://www.therapuppy.com/images/therapuppytitle3.jpg) ... I think it's ok to use it or ditch it, as they know they're getting
new everything.
Your challenge:
Create a therapuppy.com banner
Your reward:
I'm going to promote the heck out of this site. I'm creating a bunch of animal-related sites, some non-profit, some commercial. For instance, I just bought animalneighborhood.com. These sites will receive heavy-duty SEO/SEM treatment.
Your reward is complete credit and a prominent link. If you come to New Hampshire I can also arrange for you to get puppy licks and wagging tails.
Conditions:
This effort is completely volunteer.
