Open CDR file with Illustrator CS2 URGENT

I have some CDR files (ver. 12 I think). I have to edit , but i can`t open them with any adobe or macromedia software. Pleeeeeease, i need help! Anyone?

Is there any sort of plugin or converter to use?

DCR files.

Can't Adobe Photoshop CS open them if you have it?

Photoshop: Not realy...It does support cdr files, but only up to version 8 or so...

Oh, I see, I have just checked and Illustrator CS only opens up to CDR 10 files.

Can't really help you there as I don't have CDR 12. Can't your client save it as EPS, AI or even as a legacy version of CDR so that you can open them?

I take it that it is a clients work that has been passed onto you.

yes, but the client`s IQ is sonewhere between ape and doorbell, so I can`t realy.....
