Whats your opinion on this?
I am starting a website about computers (help, articles, everything basically). It will mostly be focused on hardware though. I have come up with this as a start:



I am not too sure about the site name though. Ricks Hardware just sounds like a crap version of Toms Hardware. Any thoughts?

One cogs icon should be enough - maybe try to find a different cogs image/photo for the background pattern?
Also try to work on the text part - now the too lines are too far from each other.

the right edge of the gray radient is really "rough" that can be avoided by using the rectangle marquee tool and rotating it to the proper angel, instead of using the lasso tool
