Go with Photoshop. Photoshop is an elite design program that most designers use.

In my opinion Photoshop and Illustrator, both are helpful in designing...But Photoshop is more easier and useful than any other software.

When I studied web design (it was 10 years ago, hehe. And I've never taken up that stuff seriously since) Corel went the first, Photoshop - the second. But right now when chatting with a web designer colleague I often learn that those pro-designers disregard Corel for some strange reason, and praise Photoshop. Dunno.

Now that Photoshop CS6 beta is out, has anyone seen a huge difference in usage? I still think it is the better piece of software but how does it compare to CS5 for everyone?

Photoshop is always superb because of its high functionalities. prefering Photoshop will be helpful in many ways. Professionally you should learn one more thing, and that is Flash.

The adobe suite is really well made. Photoshop is most likely the way to go.

Op has not been back since beginning of January.
Seeing their specific issue is not being addressed any longer, thread closed.
