Forum Theme - Work in Progress

If any of you have read my introduction thread then you will know im looking to get into web design. This is my FIRST design that im going to attempt to code once i have finished it. Few things i need to change but id like to hear some feedback!

for me it's a really hard to read theme. You can use light colors or more contrast to show your content.

Have to agree with this.

I have no issues with unique fonts being used for graphics (like buttons) but for the actual text, the font should be very easy to read.

For example, this is very hard to read.

Prefer plain fonts like this for forums.

Looks pretty stick! Maybe a little too high techy, though. I find that people interact with websites easier if the content is more standardized looking.

I loved the color scheme man. You found the perfect colors.

I really like the theme and layout and think it has some great potential. Some points:

- Personally, I am not a fan of websites with a pure black background. It makes my eyes hurt
- The capital letters are great for the header buttons and maybe titles, such as "Latest Activity" but all the other text should be proper case
- The blue on black is really nice
- I love the username and password part at the top right. Really web 2.0 and slick

I would recommend you maybe lighten the background, or if not, at least give your users an option to remove the dark background.

The design is great as others have already mentioned it. How large is this page in terms of Kilo bytes. It sure seems heavy to me and Google doesn't like word heavy.
