Tips for color correction

We took some pictures yesterday and I noticed a bit late that we had forgot to change the white balance setting on the camera. The pictures were taken outside on a sunny day but the white was set for incandescent lighting resulting in blueish pictures.

I started to try to fix them a bit in Photoshop but I'd like to know if you people have tips on doing this more easily.

You can start with correcting the Saturation (ctrl+U) - twaek either the whole spectrum or just de-saturate/move the blue shades (select blue from pull-down menu).

Can you show an example image?

Yup, gimme a minute or two to upload one before and after I changed the white balance setting on the camera.

Edit: There you go. Thanks for the help.

Send a message via ICQ to Tomassi
use "channels" and select the blue by clicking on the blue layer whilst holding down the control key, then create a new layer, fill the selection with white and pput the layer on either soft light or overlay and opacity on 50% or so.

play with the numbers, 50% could easily be 80 or 20%

in the example I selected the blue and filled it with #E1DB94 , and put the layer on soft light

hope this helps
