Nicely done. I love doing it to my own photos that I take on vacation, etc. Try dropping a UFO into the background of one of your vacation pictures and then have your family over and share them.. they will flip out...

The first one is a bit confusing because the pictures are switched before combined.
But yeah, great work on combining them. At first glance I kinda figured you just two pics then took a paneramic shot Which means wow, nice freaking work.

Hey guys thx for the comments. Spose I should have said what I had done but got lost in the process.
Bit of a late outline:- The images were taken by a friend and I was asked to merge them.
The first one had some colorizations done to the water, and the sky was re-touched with airbrushing. and the shoreline cleaned up and enhanced, then some selective sharpening.
The second one was merged the same, with a new clearer horizon blended in, and then all other public clutter of ppl and buildings removed, the woman in the blue was enlarged and touched up to give the feeling of a telephoto shot on a secluded beach. (well that was the aim).
Soz guys should have put that up the top, or in the decriptions.
thanks again for the comments much appreciated

Hey LazyJim, sorry didnt reply, been busy
Depends really, I mainly do my work on a time basis ($35 NZ per hour) but hardly ever charge the full amount, as it can get a bit steep for the average holiday snapshot taker. Really depends on the value of the photo to the owner, Some people have actualy paid $150 - $200 NZ for a very sentimental photo restore job, some I just do for free (pensioners and friends mainly). Biggest restore I done took 7 hours, and countless versions till I was happy (I did not charge 7 hours though).
I have not actualy looked into what others charge, so I dont realy know if its a fair price or not.
Below is one of the most interesting jobs.
The image I got to work with was a 2.5 x 3.5 inch scanned & inkjet printed copy of a photocopy from an old school exercise book, reason being is the original photo has been destroyed or lost.
Please excuse the quality as this small jpeg does not do justice to the actual full scale tif image.
