Step 1: Open desired page in browser and press Print Screen on the keyboard.
Step 2: Open Adobe Photoshop and click File/New/OK/then press Ctrl+V on the keyboard.
The page then appears and is ready for a very wide variety of editing before save. I'll often times do a "save as" at this point, if I don't need to edit it right away.

I've always wondered this too. Isn't there an easier way to do this with Windows? On my Mac it is just Apple/Shift/3. Then the shot appears on the desktop.
Better yet, Apple/Shift/4 lets you specifically hone in on only the area of the screen you want to take a picture of, instead of getting the whole screen.
Surely there must be a way to do this on Windows? That or some program that does it? The whole print screen thing is quite complicated and time consuming.

Well I know it's helped me on a number of occasions. I tend to reinstall my OS quite a lot and always forget to install the little programs like SNAGIT and other screenshot dumpers, so it's handy just to take a quick screen shot using the Print Screen button then installing a whole new program

When you have a german keyboard, there is a key which is called: [Druck | S-Abf] (print), when you press that, and open for example: word, you then only have to make the right click with your mouse and press [Einfügen] (paste).

I use Printkey-Pro.
There are free downloads at tucows and several other shareware sites...
Allows for cutting -- copying -- pasting etc...

Yup! ... Print Screen for quick captures, otherwise I use Corel Capture for specific types of capturing.
Did you know you can capture video frames in WMP? .. just a small option to modify & it's easy as pie!

Some packages don't automatically recognise the Print Screen key, but most can be configured to accomodate it (Windows Media Player being an example)
