Suggestions for Losslessly Compressioning PNGs?

Is there a recommended program for losslessly compressing png images to satisfy Google's Page Speed Insights requirements? I want to compress the footer and horizontal rule images on my site. What type of testing is recommended? Thanks!

I tried compressed my footer and horizontal rule images and they seem to look okay and passed Google Page Speed Insights. I'm more concerned about correctly compressing slideshow images on my index page. Anyone have any experience with this?

You can try editing the png image in photoshop by selecting the low 7 upon saving the image. For the testing of the image size you may use this resource "tinypng"

Have you checked to make sure the image dimensions of the image match the image dimensons displayed? I have had google page speed take off points for having a larger image when only 1/4 of it was displayed.

In case you didn't notice, Google Page Speed Insights also allows you to download a zip file of the optimized version of your images.
