Wedding picture retouch

Hello,

The picture attached was not taken with a digital camera, when the film was developed I received a CD with the scanned negatives images. Unfortunately the problem happened on 4 pictures, I checked the negatives and it is there too, but not all with the same degree of exposure and also not all with the same limit line.

I need help for retouching these pictures. Could you please give me advice on how to deal with this? I have Photoshop 6 but haven't used it for over 3 years

Well, I don't know if this is what you need, but I did some adjustment to the picture. I know it is not that awesome, but it is quit better.

But quite honestly I need it to look much better. I got about the same result for when I tried to do this quickly and it is not good enough for the bride and groom to have it printed and framed (if you know what I mean).

Don't really use photoshop as I deal in vrctor graphics (Illustrator) but I saw this thread and decided to have a bit of a play.

It's a step better, that's for sure. Maybe even bring down the upper half to meet halfway.

Though I'm not good at this and I have no idea what I'm talking about...

on the origional theres a big black shaddow look across the bottom of the image and she need or needed it taken out

i only spent 5 minutes on it because i didn't know if she still needed it or not, because early in this thread she said she needed by the end of the week, which i think was last week.

i could do a better job if i spent real time on it

By the way, it's not too late until the married couple tells me that they're tired to wait. I hope that I'll be able to propose them something good before that.
