Need suggestions on proofing methods!

My company currently uses email (pdf) and fax methods to send out proofs to our customers. My question is are there other solutions to proofing? By email the customer just recieves a proof and emails back with revisions or approval. The majority of our client base is not "tech savvy" to mark the notes using Acrobat or Reader. I guess what I am also asking is there a more easy to use solution by using fax and email? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

MS Word also has a revision option with which you can keep notes for revisions. And MS Word is handy for the Non-Techy persons.
