I have wrote alot on this topic. I work with a company who trains people to start their own business. I won't bore you, or post a whole article, but I will give you a couple tips and resources to help...
#1 Tip...Choose a name that represents your image. If you haven’t yet, take the time to choose 10 attributes that represent your company image. This step is important and every decision you make should be bounced against this list. Who you hire, your website, your business card, marketing material, and where you advertise should represent your image.
#2 Avoid spaces, hyphens and clever alternative spellings. This can cause customers to be confused and frustrated when trying to find you. Not to mention send them directly into your competitor’s hands if they have the most common spelling of your name. This goes for domains as well. Always try to get the .com of your name. .com is the most common domain extension and people will guess .com if they are referring you to others or trying to remember your website name.
