Page Rank Image Design First Try Need Feedback

Hey all I have designed a Google page rank image for my PR checker

Looking for a little feedback on it.

http://displaypagerank.cheneywhite.c...nk-display.php

My thoughts were people with high PR ranks would like to show it off a bit
"Thats why its a bit big"

Feedback?

Anything i could improve on?

its a good concept.

just that i like to bring up, is that once this icon place into others people website, there might be hard to blend in with their existing theme or design. try consider this.

Thank you for the feedback.

I am taking your advise. Im working on a transparent Image.

pretty cool. but i agree. If it's too fancy, it may not fit in with the person's design. a transparent image may work, or maybe more image styles

1 other problem i am having is keeping the image small in size..
Meaning Disk space. When i fist created it, i believe the pic was somewhere around 30 or 50K . I now have it around 11kb or so.

The original pictures i had for this script were a Whopping 1Kb lol.

I know 11Kb doesn't seem much but because the picture is hosted on my servers. not theres the bandwidth can go through the roof if i dont keep the picture image size down.

Anyone here have an idea of what a good Disk Size should be for a remotely hosted image such as this ?

Also can anyone sugest any other image compression software that could do it ?

Currently im using Paint Shop Pro XI .. little advice
thanks guys & Gals.

I would also like to say thanks to the admin "John Scott" and any moderators who are lurking about.. For not deleating my question about this image.

I recently had the same questions posted on www.ozzu.com
and they deleated it .... wasn't
very happy..

well I use Phostoshop CS2. I don't know about its compressing abilities, but I would recommend it. I know PSP pro and PS are almost the same, but CS2 seems to have more abilities.

Is there anyway of using just plain text? Most sites that give webcounters (different subject) have all sorts of images for counters, but then have a few ascii and plain text styles.

just some recommendations.

Wink For the Fnacy Pagerank Button

The 3 color simple pagerank button seems modest and nice to me. But, for the fancy buttons in Electric Blue color, I think transparent background for the stars would look nicer. The top portion would look like a nice button.
