in photoshop, just duplicate it and place the duplicate below the original layer.. then use the burn tool...

Do you mean duplicate it as in 'make it yourself'?

Its very good, i think its probably made in 3D studio max, i wouldnt have thought it was done in photoshop.

Although you could look up tutorials on the internet to make sure

Looks like a photoshop job to me. You can achieve some cool 3d effects in photoshop if you are good.

Well im pretty sure it can be achieved through use of techniques and special blending and stuff. Although would be alot easier in 3dS

I have never heard of 3D studio max. I'm going to have to look at that.

There is a way of doing it.
I'm not too sure how to colour the glass, but i think you can make a glass effect
by
1. making a new material and fiddling around with the ambiance
and specular levels.

2. Add a raytrace map and set the refraction level
to make it clear.

3. You would need to add an environment, so the glass can reflect.

Something along the lines of that but it is quite tricky but yeah I'm not an expert using 3DStudioMax.

that looks alot like 3D Max Studio or could be Cinema 4D.

I don't use 3DMax, but you can tell its been done with a program like that. I use C4D, and it just looks like basic shapes with Glass Materials with some lighting done to it.

And i really doubt anyone could reproduce that in Photoshop..imo.

Definitely a 3D application, you could reproduce this in Photoshop but you wouldn't be able to change angles, colours, lighting effects as easily as with the 3D app. I use Cinema 4D and this would be fairly simple to recreate, if I had the models that is!

Here is a free fruit model for g-max or 3d-max from turbo squid. It may not be exactly what you want, but you could modify the models change their textures or something. While you are there you can search for others. Good luck...

Free Model from Turbo Squid

G-max is a free scaled down version of 3d-max. Its fun to use and very intuitive. Its a good starting point for 3d modeling. I had lots of fun with it, and I also learned alot from this program.

Anim8tor is another descent free modeling tool.

Blender is a good 3-d modeling tool, also. Its controls are a little hard at first, but they say practice makes perfect.

That is some pretty cool graphics, I didn't think photoshop could do stuff like that, I'm a bit more leaning towards the 3D software as well to reproduce that

....... photoshop...? It s definitly 3D. Even if you can have a close result of this on photoshop ( when you are masterizing the software like a god to be good as this) but just the lighting tells us it s 3D lightwave or 3ds I think.
