Company Logo
Hey Everyone,
I'm fairly new to this forum and this is my first "request for comments". I have recently started up my own information security business. I wanted to come up with an original logo for my business and this is what I came up with <attached below>. I have had many people ask me "what is it?" The best way I can describe it as "an eye-catching abstract conceptual representation of how to physically and mechanically secure intangible information and data." It honestly originated from a doodle. Please take a look at it... Thanks!

I think you would be better off using something people will recognize. Logos need to get peoples attention, and that is done byu having something recognizable, not a small abstract, and keep inmind the most of the places logos apear, that are small and people wont be able to see that well.

I kinda like it.. I think its a bit big for a logo, but still very creative. I would maybe "dumb" the look down a bit and make it sharper and less like a doodle.
Not bad at all.

It will be difficult to make this logo associable unless you have a really hot business, then it would associate it's self ... I think it would be to your advantage to make this one a bit less abstract and a bit more identifiable with something relative to your type of business, in some way ..

I really appreciate everyone's comments. Sorry for it being so big - that was purely for detail. It's actually under 2 inches when printed. I recently used the logo on my business cards and I've had an overwelming positive response. Usually I get, "That's cool! What is it?" I usually tell that its our logo and if you want find out more about it, visit our website. It's definetly memorable and an attention grabber. As far as ease of recognition goes... If I see one more information security company with a Padlock, CD Rom or CPU Tower for a logo, I'm going to scream.

It looks odd, what is it? Also --all black?
I know what you mean about the padlocks etc. But that logo doesn't do it for me
