Cast Graffiti ...
I edited this hydrant photo in Photoshop, using PS default tools...
the Y and L are original to the photo..

I was going to remove the Y and L before I started... but then I thought,,, why not leave it, and call it graffiti ... ....... it's "foundry graffiti" ...

Looks great :-) I too think it should be sharper. Make it more rough, not perfect smooth letters.

Ok cool... thanx all..
Kind of curious to hear from Inochi, Pimp and Frag if it's still too soft, or not sharp enough. It looks pretty good to me but, I've been staring at the thing so long that I'm starting to question the validity of my own judgment.

I think thats great! Just take out the white glow thats on the bevel/emboss and it'll be perfect...

Ok I didn't remove the emboss but I darkened it to give it a worn/bare cast iron patination on the edges..
..yeah I'll try that Frag ... that's called intaglio .... it's the opposite of this, which is embossed or relief ... might look kool ...

Ok Pimp.. I sent the psd and the original jpg to your email ... the jpg is larger than the psd because I wanted to scale it down for proper display in this thread .... have fun dude..
