Design is so subjective. I think it's a lot better than what is up there now.

Anyway, back to the design. As Julie was sharing her opinion, so will I.

I DO think it should be professional looking. That doesn't mean stuffed up, it can still be fun or whatnot. But it needs polish - think approachable and reliable all at once. That's not a such a bad idea, is it?

I agree. Especially that first logo didn't say "reliability" to me. May not matter with the forum, but withservices like hosting and contextual it matters a ton.

On the first set I like the globe better in the 2nd logo. I'm not sold on the font though for the V. Same with the 3rd logo. On the 3rd I like the idea of the V with the arrow but it just doesn't look right. Concept is unique but it does need to be a little more polished or something. What about trying the 2nd globe with the 3rd logo and use a thicker font for the V/arrow?
