um. you do realize having a background that file size heavy slows down your computer considerably.
There really is nothing to the image either. i could make something exactly like it with half the file size at most.

blame photoshop  and uhm.. it doesnt slow my ocmp down.. no different then any other 1600x1200 background.

it took me alomst a minute to download on broadband..that has to slow down your boot time, no way it doesnt.

oh.. well thats mainly because your downloading from my server.. 30kb/sec up tops. if i put it on a real server it would download faster.

background image
The background image takes a long time to load. The best export filter I have found is Illustrator 10 or Photoshop 7 (same engine). Go to file>save for web and choose 128 gif. Your load time will be at least 10 times greater and you will loose very little graphic detail.
