Photoshop Plugins
I recently got Kai's powertools 5, 6, and 7 to use with Photoshop. My problem is I have no clue how to use them... I tried, but I can't figure them out.
Anyone out there know of any tutorials or instructions for them, and where I can find them? Any help, ideas, etc, would be appreciated.

lol. I'm with juggo here. I've never installed a single plugin on my PS. For that matter i make all my own patters when i actually use them, and my own brushes when i am not happy with the preset ones.

Ok .. I put two KPT6 tutorials and a KPT5 user guide on my server, Jadzia, you can grab them from there, the user guide you have to right click and "save as". When you open it from where ever you saved it, it will open with Adobe Acrobat, the other two will open with Acrobat without saving first.
http://www.singlesplaces.com/kpt_tutorials
I have never even read them but, I was just glancing through them and they look pretty good. I might have to read them myself, to quickly learn things I haven't discovered on my own yet ... I don't know why but, I've always been pretty stubborn and learn many things the hard way... lol
I'll tell you, another really good PS plugin is eyecandy. If you don't have that you might want to look into that also.
Between the three, Photoshop/KPT/and eyecandy, you can really rip out some complicated graphics fast.
For example... I made the spheres below, in aprox. 10 seconds, with KPT "gel". I used a special environment (picture on my hard drive) to make the one on the left.

Thanks Atom. I appreciate it.
I got the two tutorials fine, but the userguide is just a 1k link. Nothing was there to save or open.

Thanks Atom! Got them all. Now to read through them all. I tried figuring out how to use them, but it didn't work too well on my own. I'm not even really good with Photoshop yet. I'll let you know how well I make out.

I sharpened the image ... is that any better?
I didn't take the photo so..
.. there's not much more I can do to clear it up, I could have chosen a sharper image to start with I suppose...
.. plus, the pixels are blurred a bit in an image that an orb is created from.

Atom - another small problem. I was able to open all of the tuts and stuff from the links, then I saved them through the save option in Adobe (on the adobe toolbar in the browser window). I tried to open them, and its asking for a password - something about permissions... Am I missing something here? Never had this problem with pdf files before.

Dang.... ok just go ahead and access them by those links, I'll leave them on the server .......... until I can figure this out, which should be very soon.... no worries.. : )
I think I have to convert pdf to psd or something... or maybe you do... I'm not sure yet.. I'll figure it out one way or the other..

I'm guessing this is what you want... I get this message any time I try to open the pdf's in IE and I get it for some of them when opening in Photoshop. This one is from photoshop, but it's exactly the same in IE.

The file opens in your browser when you click on one of the links... is this correct?

they open with no problem when I use the links on your site. It's just the saved ones, and not even all of those...

Opening them in Photoshop, these are the files that have the permissions problems.
ShapeShift.pdf
KPT 5 User Guide.pdf
Fiber.pdf
Frax4D.pdf
FraxPlorer.pdf
Sphere.pdf
The rest will open a page at a time in Photoshop

when I do the file, save as... I still get the same permissions messages that I have been. Some of them work in PS, others don't, and none of them will open in IE.
