Sorry, but it just looks like the work of someone who's figured out some effects in photoshop for the first time. There's no continuity, no connection between the leaves and the text. It's mostly the colour choice - the earthiness of the leaves to the almost metallic silver of the name.

I would change it from a "name plaque" setup to more of a name logo by moving the leaves from a frame to only using a couple around the name.

I do like the effect on the leaves. The text needs a different font - maybe customize it by using a cleaner font and altering it slightly to add "something different" or special to it. And maybe get rid of the shadow... you can do better - I've seen it!

The leaves would be a cool border to an image inside that kind of fades to behind the leaves....
