More like Photoshop? Can anyone help me with the inches for 4 3/4 x 3 3/4 Inches & the

I am trying to do ad in photoshop and the [link removed]web design company[/url] told me to make my ad in photoshop the sizes above I have to make two ads 4 3/4 x 3/3/4 1/2 page ad and then
2 1/4x 3 3/4 inches 1/4 page ad if anyone can help me with the inches for this that would be awesome the lady who owns the magazine doesn't know the actual inches for it just the inches.

Or if you know what I type in for inches in the inches area for thes inches is it 4 3/4 inches= 4.34 or more complicated? Thanks in advanced for the help.

I know I should probably know this stuff but the numbers got thrown on me at the last minute and I don’t calculate numbers well under pressure. Hope you have a good one!

In photoshop, chose FILE>NEW. Select your measurements from the drop-down on the right side of both Width and Height. Select INCHES. Then type in your measurements in the Width and Height fields. Go with 280-300dpi. Click>OKAY.

1/4 is 0.25. So in photoshop, with that in mind, 1/4 would be 0.25, 2/4 would be 0.25 x 2 = 0.50 or .5. 3/4 ... Well you get the idea. So to answer that question when it comes to inputing a fraction value in photoshop...

'in the time of chimpazee, i was a monkey!'

*ahem* sorry, it just came on the radio...

When it comes to inputing a fraction value in photoshop:

4 3/4 W INCHES x 3 3/4 INCHES H = 4.75w x 3.75h

2 1/4 W INCHES x 3 3/4 INCHES H = 2.25w x 3.75h

The 1/4 page ad is relative to the size of the actual page. Considering the dimentions you posted, that's a mighty small page. 1/4 page x 4 @ 2.25 x 3.75 per 1/4 = total page size of 4.5' x 7.5' page.

Does that cover your problem?
