How to create this basic Energy Blast

1) Open a 500 pixels x 500 pixels new document with a White Background.

2) Press "D" button on your keyboard. This will set your Foreground color Black and set your Background color White.

3) Filter > Render > Clouds

4) Filter > Pixelate > Mezzotint -- Important: Change the Mezzotint type to Long Lines.

Type: Long Lines

5) Filter > Blur > Radial Blur -- Important: Amount: 100, Blur Method: Zoom, Quality: Best

6) Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation -- Important: Check Colorize and change the color by using Hue and/or Saturation. Normally you don't need to touch Saturation. But this will be your choice
