Photoshop learner
Hey guys, i'm learning photoshop right now, compared to some of the other photoshop masters i might seem lame, but hey i'm learning, check this out.

Yes it looks good, but it's slow to load. Maybe you could optimize it if you intend to publish it on the net.

ya, if i was going to use it for something i would have to optimize it, but i haven't figured out how to do that in photoshop, so i just put it in fireworks and saved it as a .jpg

in photoshop you just click on 'save for web' then you can change how many colors are used. and it will show you how long it will take to load with different connection speeds and stuff.

something to thinK about when optimising pictures:
1) Jpeg is for pictures (real life pics)
2) .gif is for drawn banners and/or transparent backgrounds
3) .png incorporates the 2 above technologies (usually used for 3D pics).
4) .bmp is not used anymore do to the fact that you can make .exe out of them
5) .psd is the photoshop working file, stands for photoshop Design. (this file cannot be seen or opened with out photoshop.
What are these file format? The are differnet type of compression schemes.
Tip: To make pics more cripsy and precises, choose to antialias your work.
