I wouldnt relaly describe it as a fight for freedom. The pic looks good, bit abstract, whats the little star represent?

After i thought about it for like 2 seconds i realized you're right. What I really wanted to emphasize was the effects of war casualties. the stars of the flag on them are to show peoples loyalty to the country in the hardest of times. Did you guys see those photos of the caskets? Pretty sobering stuff.

I just can't understand this thing about Americans ... How can they remain so oblivious to all the terrorist attacks happening around the world, yet when something happens to them they yell 'bloody murder' ...?

In my country, 1 or 2 people die DAILY due to a terrorism or naxal violence ...

For us here, 9/11 was just another news event ... we watched the news just to see how the americans would react ... or rather how thier beuracracy would ...

it's funny that you accuse americans of being oblivious to other worldly tragedies yet you immediately afterward pretty much admitted to doing the same thing on your part regarding american tragedies. And I don't know what american's you talk to but i'm certainly not oblivious to current world events, but you can't actually expect any country to take more seriously the events that directly and most strongly effect their own lives.

Not oblivious to world tragedies. What I meant to point out is the 'double face' they followed in world politics over terrorism UNTIL it happened to them !

Trust me, for a selfish moment, I did think that you people deserved 911. Until they announced that more than 7000 people died. I was deeply disturbed over how people could be so inhuman and over the jubiliant reaction of many around the world to it .

And you have to understand that America has caused many 911 - kind in other countries too. That, is also the kind of ignorance I meant about americans. They just don't accept that.

The terrorism in my country started in 1980's. Count the years.
And I meant an AVERAGE of 1 or 2 people.

As a person who looked out of an office window on the 15th floor of a building on Park Ave and 40th street in New York on 9/11 I am shocked by the responses of so many who say we "deserved it."

No one deserves to die at the hands of a murderer. The United States has pursued many policies around the world that can be percieved by many as being misguided or cruel, but that is a matter of perspective. No other nation spends as many gross dollars on foreign aid as the United States. No other nation has as many organizations committed to helping foster democracy, feeding others and promoting peace.

It is easy to sterotype a nation and a people. It is small mindedness like that which leads to violence.
