phpbb style tips

hey board!

I need some tips on creating a phpbb style.
today i embark on creating my first phpbb forum style.
I'll use subSilver as a base and modify it completely.
has anyone made a style before? anyone out there got some tips to offer?

The one best tip I can give is, keep the filenames the same. That way you won't have to edit all the files.

it really isn't that bad doing one. just edit the header, footer, images, and css and you have for the most part created a compeletly new style.

as philip said, you do have to be carefull changing names around as if you change one thing you will likely have to go around and change a lot of places.

Yeah, that's what I have done... just start with a template, and slowly make changes, keeping backups of the files as you go...
