Rate my new logo (Gaming Forums)
Here is my new one:

A slightly different version of it:
I like it so far, but am open to suggestions for changes. As for the colors, I like the color scheme, so I probably won't be changing that, but I may be open to changing colors within the color scheme (changing the 'K' from orange to blue, or something).
And the 'welcome to hell' quote is just an inside joke from the forums. Was planning on creating a bunch of logos that all look the same, but with a different quote on each one and have them rotate.
Also, this is my old one:
Tried to be 'unique' with the orange, but it was just too much orange, so now I've gone for mostly black.
EDIT: one question. The background on the new logo came with my vB them. All I did was take their logo off, and put mine. Is this allowed?

I like ya new one compared to oldone ,but not pleased with the edges of the letters its all a bit rough especialy th K ,The colour scheme is great but you need to smooth the edges of the letters.instead of transforming the size try making them the size you want streight up then give them the special affects.
regards,Mark.....

Hi
Its an ok effort, however you may need to do a couple of things:
- cut down on the photoshop filters. Keep it simple and clean.
- Use some more intuitive fonts. Visit this page for inspiration:

I'm always a fan of blue/orange combos, my suggestion would be definitely liven up the font more, bring attention to the header, make people see that and be like "Snap that's sweet". Maybe take your blues and oranges and give them a burnt look...not darker, just like....dirtier. the "Game More | Live More AFKAY More" is decent, but the AFKAY part makes you have it on there twice, giving a somewhat redundant effect. Maybe you would work with the "Welcome to Hell..." thing...like...."Welcome to AFKAY...Welcome to Hell..." Might scare away some potential viewers, but hey, if you said to me "Welcome to Hell..." when I walked in your house I'd probably be like "I think I took a wrong turn at Albequerce (sp?)" You get my drift. All in all the logo is decent, but doesn't really stand out that much, I'd give it a 6/10 as well because it is a step above the mundane, but I definitely think you could do more with it.

The first one (your new one) is the best in my view:
It does not look too big it is just nice.
It has a nice color sheme.
Well done!

I would darken the blue part of the background to make the letters stand out more

Sorry, you probably don't want to hear this, but I prefer the old logo more.
The reason is because the blue on blue is very difficult to read. They're the same shade.
If you could darken it or make it lighter it'll probably look better.
I don't think there's anything wrong with the logo per se. Just my 2c.

If the template comes with the PSD of the logo you are using then probably there is no problem. But if it were an image and you carefully removed their name and put your forum logo then probably you could be in trouble...

personal opinion, the second logo with the '.com' is better, at least it clearly spell out the complete domain name and people won't need to guess for the extension.

I'm with rhys, I detest blue on blue, and dark backgrounds on sites in general. Remind me of old angelfire fanpages. Font is too simple, as others have said.

Like the 2nd one better, but your main font does not seem to go with the theme "Welcome to hell". You need something a bit more harsh.
