Adobe CS3
Hey guys wondering, if you are using Adobe CS3 and do you think, if there are other alternatives to CS3. Would you recommend CS3 or wait for something else.

Well, CS3 is great... If ever I would recommend other software than CS3? I would recommend Adobe Photoshop CS... I'm comfortable working on that...

I've been using CS3 for about a month now since I upgraded my computer. I think it is quite nice. It is a must have upgrade if you are running an intel mac.
As far as the image ready thing. They did merge image ready in with Photoshop. It is nothing that they tell up front and you do have to dig a bit for all the functions. I sort of liked having a dedicated app to this as well, but in time it will be fine I am sure having it as part of photoshop.

Hi Grey,
Thanks - old dog didn't want to learn new tricks....lol
I don't like the file browser in it eather - kinda bloated - plus some of my older plugins didn't work right.
Liked it but just got used to CS2 - hell, I still miss the old ps ver 3....lol

I prefer Fireworks to Photoshop for web work. Integrates better with Dreamweaver. I swear if Adobe dumps Fireworks since the aquisition of Macromedia I'm going to go postal. I do use some CS2 versions of programs over the CS3 versions. Each upgrade gets more bloated.

Well If your looking for alternatives to CS3 you can either use Corel Graphic Suite X3 or X4.

Well there is pixelmator which looks like a pretty good Photoshop alternative.. I've only tried the demo for a few minutes though.

I believe that somewhere I seen a post on a list of graphic design tools here in the V7N forums. If I could remember off the top of my head I would repost it. But by far the entire CS3 suite is toooo sweeet!
The integration between the entire suite makes things oh so nice. If one can afford it, purchasing the entire suite will rock the socks off of ya.
Personally I like and use fw the most, I get way too lost in ps. It integrates straight into dw with a few clicks of the ol mouse, and you can come up with some neat webpages.
